The 7 hectare resort has been reconstructed around the 19th century Château de Camiole itself and designed to resemble a Provencal village. All the properties have been traditionally built in Provence style using locally sourced rock and pan tiles, and rendered in traditional Mediterranean colours of soft cream, yellow, peach and orange. Each building is surrounded by meandering paths and natural gardens planted with native perfumed plants and flowers, and mature trees which provide shade from the sun. There is even a village square and stone ‘lavoir’ or washing place.
